The choice of material for a retractable fan directly affects its durability, safety, noise reduction, and overall aesthetics. Based on current mainstream product designs and user feedback, the materials can be mainly divided into four core components: fan blades, motor, lamp body, and lampshade. Each material has its applicable scenarios and advantages and disadvantages.

Fan Blade Material: Determines Airflow and Safety

ABS Plastic Material

Lightweight and high-strength, with good impact resistance and resistance to deformation, it is currently the mainstream choice for retractable fan blades.

Advantages: Low cost, high safety, stable operation, suitable for daily home use.

PC (Polycarbonate) Material

More durable than ABS, with stronger high-temperature resistance and anti-yellowing properties, commonly used in mid-to-high-end models.

Advantages: High transparency, visually more "invisible"; good toughness, can withstand significant bending without breaking.

Recommended for bedrooms or living rooms where quiet operation and lifespan are important.

Acrylic (PMMA) material: High light transmittance, often used in transparent fan blade designs. The persistence of vision during rotation is significant, making it almost "invisible."

Advantages: Beautiful like a work of art, less likely to cause dizziness, suitable for minimalist spaces.

Caution: Relatively brittle, avoid violent impacts.

Solid wood or wood grain material: Commonly seen in straight-blade fan lights, less common in concealed fans, but some Scandinavian-style designs feature wood grain finishes.

Advantages: Strong natural texture, enhances the overall style of the home;
